
With a newly assembled roster of pro players, eastern esports organisations Weibo Gaming and Reject announced their entry into the Overwatch 2 esports scene.
Both organisation expressed their interest in winning the upcoming stages Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS), though only time will tell how their new teams will perform.
Weibo Joins The OWCS Hype

Chinese organisation Weibo Gaming made the announcement on X on April 30th, 2025, showcasing all seven of its signed Overwatch 2 players.
In the post, Weibo said: “As a cornerstone of FPS esports, Overwatch commands a dominant legacy and thriving competitive scene across China. Weibo Gaming is thrilled to announce our WBG Overwatch Division, fielding a championship-calibre roster ready to dominate the meta.”
This is Weibo’s full roster:
- Tank: Xu ‘Guxue’ Qiulin
- Tank: Jia ‘LiGe’ Chengjie
- DPS: Huang ‘Leave’ Xin
- DPS: Zheng ‘Shy’ Yangjie
- DPS: Li ‘Apr1ta’ Yuanjinghao
- Support: Zhou ‘Mmonk’ Xiang
- Support: Li ‘Mew’ Xianyao
We’ll be able to see Weibo Gaming in action in the upcoming OWCS tournaments, which expanded into China for the 2025 season. They’ll be competing against seven other teams for a spot in China Stage 3 and Midseason Championships.
Reject Arrives Into the Overwatch Scene

Japanese organisation Reject also announced it was establishing a competitive team for the Overwatch scene.
In a rough translation of a blog post published on the official website on May 1st, 2025, Reject stated: “The OW2 division will aim to qualify for the Midseason Championship, a global tournament held within the Esports World Cup, by winning OWCS JAPAN 2025 Stage 2, which will begin on May 12th.
We look forward to your enthusiastic support for the OW2 Division, which is fighting to become the best in Japan and the world.”

Reject comes from an active history with another hero shooter, Apex Legends. The organisation recently unveiled a new roster of Apex players on March 21st after placing seventh in their last tournament: BLGS APAC North regional finals.
