In it, Schreier makes reference to a mobile title when talking about an Overwatch developer.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-6818ac8c455e5\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>&#8220;Overwatch was led by Walter Kong,&#8221; Schreier wrote, &#8220;who oversaw the release of regular heroes and content for Overwatch 2 as well as new projects, like a mobile version of the franchise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-6818ac8c45ba2\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>How far development has reached for Overwatch mobile is unclear. However, the article MTN published suggests that the game is intended to be a part of the MOBA genre. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-heading-6818ac8c46177\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"is_overwatch_mobile_happening-2\">Is Overwatch Mobile Happening?<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-6818ac8c46750\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Blizzard has yet to officially announce a mobile title for Overwatch. Aside from a few articles online claiming that deals have been made between Blizzard and Nexon, and that the game was in development at some point, fans have yet to see any gameplay or trailers for the MOBA game.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-6818ac8c46cff\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>What is apparent is Blizzard&#8217;s big push in Overwatch content in 2025 so far, including regular updates to the <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2025\/04\/overwatch-2-stadium-changes-community-feedback\">Stadium arena mode<\/a>, the launch of 6v6 as a permanent mode, <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2025\/02\/overwatch-2-perks-owcs-addition\">introduction of perks<\/a>, and more.
